This Catholic church is located in the MTC Nagar area of Peramanur, Maraimalai Nagar.
- Mass Timing: Holy Mass is held every Sunday from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
History & Origin
The Shrine of Our Lady of Health was built through a combination of deep faith and community unity. It began in 2009 with just 12 families. What started as a small thatched shed has now grown into a spiritual home filled with divine enthusiasm.
Key Milestones (Timeline)
- 10.05.2009: The church was established as a temporary shed.
- 05.09.2011: The inaugural Holy Mass was conducted.
- 24.12.2011: The first Christmas Mass was celebrated.
- 26.12.2011: The day the church Flagpole (Kodikkambam) was installed.
- 13.12.2012: The foundation stone for the church building was laid by Rev. Fr. Maria Nayagam R.A.
- Early Works: The initial initiatives required for the formation of the church were started by Rev. Fr. Paulraj.
Spiritual Growth & Amenities
- Basic Facilities: Sunday Masses were regularized. Faith was nurtured among children and youth through Catechism classes. Basic amenities like drinking water and electricity were established step-by-step.
- Anbiyams: What started as one Anbiyam grew into two as the community expanded.

During his tenure, the initial phases of the church construction began with love and dedication. The strong foundation for the current building was laid during his time.
Rev. Fr. Paul John Ira
Under his leadership, the basic facilities of the church were significantly improved. Electricity connection was provided, the Altar was beautified, and a protective compound wall was built around the church.
Rev. Fr. Alexis Manohar
During his period, the church’s structure and spirituality were further strengthened:
- The construction of the compound walls on both sides was completed.
- The backside area of the church was expanded, and facilities like Restrooms/Toilets were constructed for public use.
- The Legion of Mary was established.
- Social unity increased, and the two Anbiyams grew into four Anbiyams.
- The Youth Group began to function actively.
Starting as a small shed, this church has today grown into a strong spiritual family. God’s blessing and the hard work of the people have transformed this shrine into a place of holiness.
